2009 CHICAGO AUTO SHOW SHOTS!
We have a renewed focus at Starfish this year, with three new program: Life Skills, Cyber Safety, and Career Visioning! Life Skills addresses basic issues such as conflict resolution, etiquette, fiscal responsibility, and health & nutrition. Our Cyber Safety program developed to ensure safe online experiences (in networking sites, information posting, etc.) for our young people. Finally, Career Visioning will utilize the skills and experiences of others (guest speakers from all walks of professional life) to help instill a vision of the future for our students. Call us if you'd like to share.

Started in 1997, Starfish Learning Center provides educational support services for children after school in Chicago's "North of Howard" neighborhood in east Rogers Park, an area plagued by gangs, drugs and crime. It is also home to nearly 4,000 people under the age of 20!
Our goal is to counter gang and other negative influences on community youth by providing a safe, nurturing environment where children learn, grow and participate in healthy, fun, future-building activities. At Starfish, we offer homework assistance, a computer lab, encouragement, motivation to perform well in school, music and dance lessons, creative art projects, Bible study and prayer, and special outings and events.
You can help us give youth hope of a better future. Support Starfish Learning Center ... financially, by volunteering your time, or in prayer. By doing so, you'll help us make a difference, one child at a time.
