Starfish Learning Center provides educational support services for children after school in Chicago's "North of Howard" neighborhood in east Rogers Park, an area plagued by gangs, drugs and crime. It is also home to nearly 4,000 people under the age of 20!

Our goal is to counter gang and other negative influences on community youth by providing a safe, nurturing environment where children learn, grow and participate in healthy, fun, future-building activities. At Starfish, we offer homework assistance, a computer lab, encouragement, motivation to perform well in school, creative art projects, Bible study and prayer, and special outings and events.
