Edifications
To edify means to lift up, as in encourage. Here's what our kids had to say about each other and us.
Matt - I think that Matthew is a very intelligent person, and when he puts his mind into something he can achieve anything.
Alex - She is a caring, well-rounded, funny, and a nice friend. She cheers me up when I'm sad and she always has my back like a friend is post to. She is always happy and excited.
Cortez - You're a good person who always looks out for little ones, and defend them. You have a great personality and a good throwing arm. You're kinda shy and quiet when you want to be but it's ok 'cause I don't no why but yeah, whatever. You're always smiling and joking around, and you have a "good" head on your body." metaphorically speaking
Susan (the kid) - Nice, funny, always happy, joyful, grateful, ray of sunshine, cares about everyone.
Marlon - stand up for people,
when you praise you know the right words to say about God, don't think of
yourself, helpful, funny!, 100% into the game your play, think on your feet.
Jerry - Jerry is a strong, wise father figure and a very good example
to follow. I appreciate the fact that he allows me to come and help out at
Starfish.
Kendra - There's many things I
like about this person but I will only give you 4 reasons. I like when I am mad
she calm me down and she is nice to me and she is a down to earth person.
Dorell - I think that Dorell is a smart and intelligent young man with
a good future ahead of him.
Imaria - Imaria, you have a great laugh, you joy is contagious and your silly goofiness is fun for everyone. You are patient with your work and you can keep your cool even when you're upset. You are smart not just with your schoolwork but you are a good thinker and a thoughtful person.
Danyel - You have a joy that is infectious! That means the wonderful light in you spreads to others. Your positive attitude is GREAT, and you have an energy and manner that makes people want to be around you. And, oh boy, THOSE DIMPLES! Fantastic! God must have had fun July 8 [her birthday]. Oh yeah!
Kirk - Has great energy, a great smile that lights up the room and he's very sensitive.
Jakaya - You're very funny and so full of energy.
Andrea - You are pretty.
Tahari - I like this name and his cav-ard (we werent' sure on this one).Shadeed - He's a good friend, an ok dancer.
Kevin - Funny, nice, friendly, playful, calm.
Susan (the grown-up) - She nice to people and she kind and careful she is really nice, kind, careful to people and I like that.
Temple - Funny, colorful, happy, lovely smile, outspoken.
Jazz - She is very caring. She is very helping, she is a wonderful person inside and outside. She will become a very good thing in life.
Rodi - You show humility and gentleness not always shown by many your age. You are bright and a joy to be around.
Deairra - She is pretty and she always helps solve problems and she is friends with everybody and she doesn't make anyone feel left out.
Jason - How do you feel, Jason?
Bri - When I think about you I mostly think first is your cleverness and your personality. Also you a nice well-rounded person and friend.
Rob - Very sweet, gentle person; has a big heart.
Mel - I like her singing voice and personality. Also she has a nice smile.
Trin - I like her because she's pretty and nice.
April - You're very weird but I love that about you because you're not afraid to be yourself and give great advice that I need to hear when I'm down. You're very smart and energetic and care so much about people. You have a strong faith and always smile even when something isn't that funny. And you're very creative too!
Dorren - I like Dorren because he's funny and Joyful.
Tierra - I was friend, Tierra.
